Technical Overview of Cleanroom Ceiling Panels
1. Panel Construction & Materials Cleanroom ceiling panels are manufactured using high-grade powder-coated GI (Galvanized Iron), pre-painted GI (PPGI), and stainless steel sheets on both sides. The core is filled with high-performance insulating material, tailored to meet specific cleanroom requirements.
Outer Skin Options:
PCGI / PCGI (GPSP)
PPGI / PPGI
Stainless Steel
Sheet Thickness Options:
0.5 mm, 0.6 mm, 0.8 mm
Panel Width: 1200 mm
Panel Length: As per design layout
2. Coating & Surface Finish
Powder Coating Thickness: 60–80 microns
Pre-Coating Thickness: 30–35 microns
Standard color: RAL 9002
Other colors: Available as per RAL chart
3. Core Insulation Materials
PUF: 40 ±2 kg/m³
PIR: 48 ±2 kg/m³
Rockwool: 96–144 kg/m³
These high-density materials not only ensure excellent thermal insulation but also provide soundproofing and fire resistance.
4. Panel Thickness Options
35 mm
50 mm
80 mm
100 mm
5. Load Bearing Capacity These ceiling panels are robust, with a load-bearing capacity ranging from 75 to 250 kg/m², making them suitable for walkable applications where maintenance personnel need access to service areas above.
Structural Features and Installation
Support System: Mounted on wall panels and suspended using adjustable rods with turnbuckles anchored into the slab.
Sealing: Food-grade silicone sealant is used on both sides to ensure an airtight, contamination-free environment. Panel gaps are maintained at less than 4 mm.
Cutout Provisions: Custom cutouts with C-type flashing can be provided for HVAC and electrical fittings.
Panel Types: Available in Progressive and Non-Progressive formats to suit different construction and maintenance preferences.
Why Cleanroom Ceiling Panels Are Essential
Whether it’s a sterile pharmaceutical production area or a precision-driven electronics assembly space, cleanroom ceiling panels provide the structural and hygienic foundation necessary for compliance with industry regulations. Their modular design, high load capacity, and adaptable finishes make them an ideal choice for cleanroom construction projects across various industries.
